The Methow Asylum for Writers (MAW) invites writers of all skill levels to our seasonal Read Out Social events. Listen to work by fellow writers and read your own work aloud (7 min. maximum).  


Ongoing: Join our Writers’ Group

Meetings held twice a month:

2nd Wednesdays, Noon – 2pm

3rd Mondays, 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Methow Valley Community Center, Twisp - Room 7 (upstairs)

Bring your work to share. Prose writers and poets welcome. Please bring a couple dollars to help cover room rental fees.

Coming up: MAW Fall Read Out Social

Sharpen your pencils, writers, in preparation for our next seasonal event!

MAW’s Fall Read Out Social will happen Thursday, November 7, 6:30 - 8:30pm at Trail’s End Bookstore in Winthrop. 

Listen to work by fellow writers and read your own work aloud (7 min maximum). Coffee will be available for purchase. Please BYO snack and beverages to share with the group.

Hot off the press: Writers’ Groups!

Join the MAW Writer’s Groups, now meeting twice a month: 2nd Wednesdays, noon - 2pm and 3rd Mondays, 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Methow Valley Community Center in Twisp - Room 7 (upstairs).

Open to both prose writers and poets. Please bring some writing to share and a few dollars to help cover the $8 room rental fee. Contact 509-997-9070 for more information.

MAW Summer Read Out Social

MAW invites writers of all skill levels to meet, talk, brainstorm and share their work. Come join us on July 18, 2013 from 6:30 - 9:00pm at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp. Bring your words. Live music provided by David Weidig on acoustic guitar. Hor d’oeuvres and drinks will be offered. Admittance by donation.
